ABOUT ME

I’m Eilidh (pronounced AyLeE) . thank you for visiting my website!

So who am I?

I’m a Scottish Actor, Voiceover and Director based in London with a second base just outside of Glasgow. I have a love for telling stories and finding the heart and soul of every script and character, whether it’s Film, TV, Theatre or Audio, Commercial, Video Games, ADR, Radio Drama, Animation or Corporate.

I’m in my happy place in the studio or “in the room” creating and collaborating. Whether that be my own professional home studio or another studio in/around London, Glasgow, Edinburgh or anywhere else you’d like to work with me!

How did I get here?

I grew up in Paisley, on the outskirts of Glasgow which gave me my soft west coast accent. I have been acting since I was 7-years-old when I fell in love with the stage and joined my local youth theatre, PACE.

There I gained many roles in countless productions including their yearly professional pantomime giving me 10 years of panto seasons as a young performer and then 2 years as a professional principle role and my first professional stage job! Through this I also landed my first film role in the award winning ‘Small Faces’ for BBC Films

I have been teaching, directing and facilitating since the age of 15 where after a few years of shadowing an experienced workshop leader, I was able to lead my first drama class for a group of 5 year olds.

As I got older and more experienced I moved on to teaching other age groups from 3 to 18-years-old and gained lots of experience devising, writing and directing my own productions for different age groups, leading and performing in various schools tours and workshops across Scotland as well as continuing to be in productions myself as an actor in my own right. Upon leaving school I worked for PACE Theatre Company for a couple of years.

I then studied an HNC in Acting and Performance at Coatbridge College and following that went on to train at The Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts, winning the coveted Spotlight Prize in my graduating year.

since then…

I have worked for many wonderful theatres and companies including…

Dundee Rep, The Traverse, The National Theatre of Scotland, Poorboy Theatre Company, The Arcola, The Old Vic Tunnels, The Arches, Theatre 503, The Citizens Theatre, Creation Theatre and made my West End debut in Steven Berkoff’s ‘On The Waterfront’ at The Theatre Royal Haymarket understudying & then playing Edie Doyle.

Radio drama credits include ‘Bridge’ by Donna Franceschild and ‘Rebus: A Question of Blood’ both for BBC Radio 4.

My screen work includes roles in 'Waterloo Road' & 'Shakespeare & Us' (BBC TV), ‘Small Faces’ (BBC films) and a lead role in feature film 'Behold Me Standing' (Minehorse Pictures). There have been many short films including 'American Dream' shot in Brooklyn New York, a couple of adverts and most recently 'The Jubliee' a short currently in post production and 'A Sharp Arrow' a proof of concept film starring Kate Dickie alongside a small ensemble cast.

Being in front of the mic ignited my passion for voice acting and opened my eyes to all sorts of voiceover work.

I’ve been lucky enough to work across many genres and for many wonderful clients across the UK and the world.  Using my acting training, my experience and skill to bring any text to life - from doing ADR for BBC’s Shetland, to voicing Visit Scotland’s Around World in 1 Country campaign, to being the voice of University of Scotland’s undergraduate courses, to playing a role in a gritty radio drama and even bringing to life various different animal characters in an animated explainer - I’m your Voice!
